Course reviews

Incredibly useful to get into the world of FEA.

Firstly, the content of this program really helps to get introduced into FEA in a correct manner. It shows concepts and conventions that are very important to know when performing an FEA. Consequently, it is very useful to avoid mistakes in the pre- and post-processing steps. Moreover, it is very applied to the practical use which implies that no actual deep theoretical background is needed to understand the content.

Secondly, the content is very dynamic and understandable using the help of several examples that are mentioned to explain the content. Additionally, it includes tutorials that adequately show what is taught in the lecture in a practical perspective. Lastly, Mr. Madier is very responsive to questions which can be related to any aspect in FEA, and his answers are very helpful, mentioning important background on the topic. I strongly recommend it if you want to get into the world of FEA for practical applications.

Excellent. The Practical Basic and Nonlinear FEA programs have been above and beyond my wildest expectations!! From laying the foundations of the method to more advanced topics. I highly recommend this program to others. Thanks to Dominique for putting this together.

Practical Basic FEA is an excellent program for reviewing the concepts of FEA. The PDFs provided along with the course and mentoring sessions will be a continuous source of revision.

Practical Nonlinear FEA is also an excellent program for reviewing the concepts of nonlinear analysis. It has provided me with more confidence and clarity on how to perform nonlinear analysis in my day-to-day work life.

A very nice program on the FE Method. I recently completed the program on the basics of the Finite Element Method, and I was very impressed.

I highly recommend this program, as it is comprehensive and really explains the essential aspects of structural analysis. I am a civil engineer, and I found the program useful to deepen my knowledge on meshing and modeling of bolted connections. Together with the book, it provides a great boost to the understanding of FEA.

I followed the Nonlinear FEA program by Dominique Madier and found it to be an excellent deep dive into the complexities of nonlinear behavior in finite element simulations. The program is well-structured and suited for engineers or researchers with prior experience in linear FEA who want to build a solid foundation in nonlinear concepts.

The course does an outstanding job explaining the three primary types of nonlinearity: material, geometric, and contact. Each concept is introduced systematically with clear theoretical explanations supported by practical examples.

Dominique's teaching style is concise and technically precise, making it easier to grasp challenging topics such as convergence issues, incremental-iterative procedures, and solution strategies like the Newton-Raphson method.

I particularly appreciated the emphasis on physical interpretation of nonlinear phenomena, which is often missing in more software-driven tutorials. The inclusion of real-world simulation issues (e.g., dealing with convergence failure, choosing appropriate boundary conditions, and understanding solver behavior) adds significant practical value.

Overall, this program is a highly valuable resource for mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineers working on complex simulations involving nonlinear behavior. Dominique Madier's expertise is evident, and his ability to convey intricate topics in an accessible way makes this mentoring a strong recommendation for anyone serious about advancing their FEA knowledge.

FEA Simplified. It's been a while since I used some of the contents of this program in my engineering practice. Dominique simplified the theories and many of the principles came back to me quickly.

On top of the basic program, the nonlinear one is very good. Dominique Madier clearly put a lot of effort into this. He effectively demonstrates proper modeling techniques for non-linear analysis. I highly recommend it. I'm pretty sure it will be invaluable for my career.

Nice experience. I enjoyed it very well. Watch the videos at least twice. The program is highly packed, so you give adequate time to understand each and every topic in the course. I really enjoyed it. Thanks.

This program has been an absolute game-changer for me. Prior to taking it, I had just started a job as a mechanical designer and had recently completed my undergraduate degree, where I took an FEA class. Although interesting, that class did not prepare me at all for the job.

This course helped me understand proper modeling techniques and gave me much more confidence in my analysis and modeling choices. I would especially like to highlight the lessons on meshing, RBEs, and MPCs, where I was able to identify my mistakes and learn new techniques. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to take their understanding of FEA to the next level.

This program exceeded my expectations. The material presented was highly practical, and the discussion groups offered valuable opportunities to clarify any uncertainties with Dominique. As a result, I now have a clearer understanding of my shortcomings in performing nonlinear analysis and how to address them effectively.

Perfect start for new stress engineers in FE domain. This program covers all basic and advanced aspects and clarify all sort of doubts which are not possible to cover in a single module in the university program. As a stress engineer, I recommend to all people who are working fully or partially in FE domain to design and analyze your structure of interest. Thanks, Dominique Madier, for such a wonderful mentoring program. You deserve big kudos from the global FE community.

Very practical program and easy to follow. It is so easy to understand, and it is really practical. Thank you.

Ever have an exam that feels less like a test and more like a conversation with the discipline itself? I experienced this on my first day of finite element analysis. It wasn't just about selecting the right answers from a list. It was a profound reminder that true engineering isn't performed by software, but by the mindful engineer who wields it.

The exam elegantly underscored three pillars of our craft: The What (Theory): the immutable physics that govern our universe. Without this foundation, we are building on sand. The How (Modeling): the art of translation, turning a complex physical reality into a faithful digital representation. This is where judgment is born. The Tool (Software): the powerful engine that crunches the numbers. It is a servant to our knowledge, never a replacement for it.

This is more than just another FEA program; it's a framework for versatile problem solving and a shield against the uncritical acceptance of digital output. Immense gratitude to Professor Dominique Madier for designing a journey that emphasized this crucial philosophy. The edge it gives us isn't just over others, but over our own potential for error.

Very great training and mentoring program that filled the gap in the FEA field by (Proper modelling technique). I'm glad I completed the practical basic finite element analysis program by Dominique Madier. The program name, proper modeling techniques, is what really grabbed my attention.

Here are some of the common challenges engineers face when getting started with FEA, even though self-learning like me: Verifying Model Accuracy. How can you tell if your model is accurately represented like the real-world scenario? Sensitivity to parameters: even small changes to parameters used in the FEA can significantly affect the results. This goes beyond just loads and constraints; it includes considerations from the initial CAD geometry to the verification and validation process, so how you can tell that each step of the FEA you have is well represented, if the results are acceptable or not and how to obtain the good results of the FEA.

All these questions and more are answered through Dominique's program.

A clear, well-structured introduction to practical finite element analysis. The concepts are explained in a simple, approachable way with real-world relevance, making it easier to build confidence and apply what you learn. A great starting point for anyone wanting a solid foundation in FEA.

Thanks to Dominique Madier and Steffan Evans my knowledge about FEA has changed. I have learned from this training so many basic modeling techniques, the importance of the application of those practices and the risk to ignore them, FEA is a tool that must be used wisely. FEA is not able to solve the problems by itself it requires to understand the problem and the engineering judgement to validate if the outcomes has sense or not. It was a different training and it was very illustrative.

"Practical Basic Finite Element Analysis" provides a clear and well-structured introduction to the fundamental principles of FEA. The program focuses on building a solid conceptual understanding rather than simply demonstrating how to use a specific software. Through practical and well-chosen examples, it clearly illustrates how different modeling assumptions and decisions can influence the results of an analysis.

I found the program very insightful and helpful for strengthening my understanding of the fundamentals of finite element analysis. It provides the necessary background to better interpret simulation results and assess whether they are consistent with the expected structural behavior. Overall, it was a very valuable learning experience, and I am very satisfied with the quality and clarity of the program.

I really enjoyed completing the FEA Academy nonlinear course. It gave me a clear understanding of how FEA works, where its limitations are, and how to use it more effectively. A personal thank you to Dominique Madier for making the course so practical, clear, and genuinely valuable.

Wish I found it years ago! When learning FEA, a lot of information feels overwhelming. There are so many individual decisions you must make in order to feel confident in your results. Many go in blindly. This course provides a clear and structured explanation of FEA, for beginners and intermediate users alike. Specific recommendations about using FEA are extremely valid as well, to help you understand different applications of FEA and how to ensure you perform accurate analysis.

Great course for starting FEM enthusiasts. If you are new to FEM, I can highly recommend this course as it covers more than just mathematical theory. It has a mix of theory, practical applications and how to effectively approach linear modeling problems.

Practical Basic Finite Element Analysis is a great course. This course should be required for all new finite element analysts and serves as an excellent refresher for old hands at FEA. Some of the gaps in learning have been plugged after taking this class.
