This program has been an absolute game-changer for me. Prior to taking it, I had just started a job as a mechanical designer and had recently completed my undergraduate degree, where I took an FEA class. Although interesting, that class did not prepare me at all for the job. This course helped me understand proper modeling techniques and gave me much more confidence in my analysis and modeling choices. I would especially like to highlight the lessons on meshing, RBEs, and MPCs, where I was able to identify my mistakes and learn new techniques. Thanks to Dominique Madier and Steffan Evans my knowledge about FEA has changed. I have learned from this training so many basic modeling techniques, the importance of the application of those practices and the risk to ignore them, FEA is a tool that must be used wisely. FEA is not able to solve the problems by itself it requires to understand the problem and the engineering judgment to validate if the outcomes has sense or not. It was a different training and it was very illustrative.

FEA Simplified. It’s been a while since I used some of the contents of this program in my engineering practice. Dominique simplified the theories and many of the principles came back to me quickly.

Many go in blindly. This course provides a clear and structured explanation of FEA, for beginners and intermediate users alike. Specific recommendations about using FEA are extremely valid as well, to help you understand different applications of FEA and how to ensure you perform accurate analysis.

Great FEA basic learning course. I must say this course has helped me to understand basics and best practices of universal FEM method used to solve the problem. I was looking more to learn about to understand background calculation. It would be great if author can take simple example and explain the mathematics to just give the feeling how it is working in background. But I understand this course is intended for basic concept and it did justice completely. Thank you!

Great FEA course for beginners. When I started taking this FEA course I had very minimal FEA experience and struggled to build a reliable FEM or know what was going on in the background. Now that I have taken the course I feel more confident in my FEA abilities and I’m not overwhelmed by thoughts of not knowing what the next step is, or whether the next decision I make is correct. I think this course is great for other beginners in FEA and will provide you with tons of applicable FEA knowledge.

Learning a systematic approach to FEA debugging. I really enjoyed the “Model Debugging in FEA” course.

What I liked most was the teaching style, especially in Sessions 2 and 3. The concepts were explained clearly, and the step-by-step approach helped me understand how to approach an FEA problem when something does not work as expected.

The course also changed the way I think about debugging. Instead of changing different settings randomly, I now try to identify the root cause of a problem systematically and check the model step by step.

I would have liked to see more complex examples, especially contact and convergence problems, but overall I found the course very useful for practical FEA work.

I would recommend this course to FEA engineers who want to develop a more systematic approach to model debugging.
